Blog

I was browsing the interwebs yesterday when I came across someone using my things. It was really exciting, and I realized I would really like to see what you've been doing with the things you are downloading here. So, if you'd like to share, I would love to see your work. Leave a comment with a link to something you've created with pixelscrapper stuff.

And if you leave a comment, help yourself to this textured overlay (click on the link to begin automatic download). I'm just using the honor system with this freebie. I can't wait to see what you leave me!

I'm working on making Pixeled Memories into a full-fledged community site for digital scrapbookers, where anyone will be able to sign up, create a profile, and share their creations.

To that end, I'm looking for people interested in becoming "early adopters," who would be willing to test things out and smooth the way for the masses. If you're interested in becoming a user on this site and getting full access to upload and share your content before those features become public, please let me know. I greatly appreciate anyone who's willing to help in this regard!

Yesterday was a holiday here in Korea (Children's Day) so I took the opportunity to get the new "template" idea running.  Templates are basically any asset that can be easily manipulated and changed, so they all have either a psd file or a png file, and most will come in grayscale so that you can change it to whatever color you need.  Assets now consist only of finished products, although I'm still working on converting some of them to the proper spot.  Hopefully this will help you to better find what you are looking for.

Coming up on Pixeled Memories: we are about to embark on making the site available to other users.  This is rather a mammoth undertaking, so don't be disillusioned if you don't see the changes for a while.  Luckily May is an easy month for me at work, so I plan to be working hard on this website!

I've just uploaded a bunch of stuff to the new kit "Blossom".  You may notice that I didn't upload any .psd files or overlays for the different papers I made.  Don't worry, I will post them, I'm just working on a bit of reorganizing of things which will hopefully make things a bit easier to use.  I'm curious as to which you prefer, assets that are finished or assets you can manipulate to your own colors.  If you'd like please leave a comment letting me know!  The better I understand where you're coming from, the better I can make this site!  Thanks!

Welcome to Pixeled Memories!  We are pleased to have Phase 1 of our website up and running!  It's been a labor of love to get this thing off the ground, and we're excited to finally announce ourselves to the public.

Pixeled Memories was built to to help digitial scrapbookers more easily access materials needed for their art, and to bring them together in an inspriational and organized community.  The community aspect of the site is part of Phase 2, so be sure to look for more user involvement in the future, but right now we hope you can find the materials offered useful and inspirational.

Currently we offer three types of materials: assets, scrapbook pages and tutorials.  Assets, better known to most digi scrappers as downloads, have been renamed on this site in the tradition of other digital art forms to help decrease the confusion between the verb and the noun.  Pretty much everything on this website is available for download, whether it's a  traditional "download" or not, so the old name seemed obsolete.  Currently we have several types of assets available for download, and I should mention that everything is free!  Here at Pixeled Memories we believe strongly in sharing with the community, and hope to make this a place where designers of all levels can both be inspired and help to inspire others.

We also have a scrapbook page gallery where you can browse for different specifics such as number of photos used, color, and style.  You can download a .jpg version of the scrapbook page, or in most cases the actual .psd file, to help create your own scrapbook pages.  We also offer quickpages for many of the pages in our gallery, so if you're in a hurry you can just pop your pictures into a predesigned layout.

We are currently working to increase the number of tutorials offered here at PIxeled Memories.  Right now we have a few beginner tutorials, but in the future we hope to offer ones for all skill levels.  We also plan to arrange them into lessons and courses, to help you increase your digital scrapbooking skills.  And watch our youtube channel as we expand our video tutorial collection as well.

As this is the launch of our website we encourage and look forward to your feedback.  Please leave comments wherever you feel appropriate, and remember to check back to keep up with our changes.  To track these changes, future plans, and current happenings, you can follow us on Facebook or Twitter

We are very excited for the opportunities that we think this website will offer to the digital scrapbooking community, and we hope you are too!
