Hello!

My name is Cheryl. I'm a retired reactor operator at a nuclear power plant, and never had the chance to do anything creative. When my kids were old enough, I started scrapbooking their first years, vacations and such, and slowly got out of it-life took over again. Haha. I'd always wanted to try digital scrapbooking, but bought books and tried all kinds of ways, but just couldn't get the hang of the layer concept. Fast forward a few years, and kids grown, I took an online class from a local college on Photoshop, then one on digital scrapbooking with Elements. The real fire came after I took my first trip to Europe with my son (now 30) for my 60th birthday. (see my profile pic) I came home and, after getting over the Covid that I caught there, I really got into it. I've always loved photography, and have become serious with it in the last couple of years, and am in the midst of taking online courses for that, too. I always said I didn't have a creative bone in my body, but am happy to know that was just a story I was telling myself. smiley

Thanks for sharing your journey Cheryl! That trip to Europe sounds like so much fun. Can't wait to see some of the layouts you are making. Being an operator at a nuclear power plant sounds so interesting! We toured a museum about Nuclear Power in the middle of nowhere in Idaho and I've been really interested in it ever since.
