This means that you have 5 download credits to use to download elements and papers to use. When you are browsing and click on an item you would like the next page will show how many credits you need in order to actually download the item. It will be along the right hand side of the page.
Does the 5 DC ever change? I thought I read about it somewhere but now I can't find it. One day I think mine changed but it hasn't since then and I can't remember what I read about it.
@Debbie The maximum number of free DC is 10. Once you reach 300 community points (by posting in the forum, filling out your profile, and commenting on layouts in the gallery), it tops off at 10 DC.

Do you get 10 DC for having 300 community points or do you get 10DC per day after reaching 300 community points?
