I was finally able to complete this challenge.
Photos show my son at ages 4, 5 and 6 (from top to bottom) in the hallway outside of our apartment. All photos taken in the month of May because that is his birthday month. May also happens to be MY birthday month as well.
Here is my layout, with all but one tiny brad coming from Pixelscrapper designers and Pixelscrapper Commons.

The event scrapped is Noble Street Festival 2018. Each year they host a block party to raise money for Relay for Life.
