FLASH Challenge (48 hours) - Old Challenge

Did you know that the very first layout challenge here at DigitalScrapbook.com was posted 2 1/2 years ago now!? It is crazy, awesome and amazing all at the same time. This FLASH challenge is to do an old challenge - maybe there is one you really liked, wanted to do but for whatever reason didn't or maybe it was posted before you joined our DigitalScrapbook.com community. Be sure to let us know which challenge inspires whatever layout that you create.

The Details

  1. Challenge ends 48 hours after the original posting
  2. See updated rules here.
  3. You must tag your layouts with these THREE tags: may 2015 layout challenge, flash, flash old 2015 challenge
  4. See entered layouts here.
  5. Link your layout here in the forum to your gallery. Doing this makes it much easier for others to find your layout and smiley or comment on it. If you don't know how to do this there is a great tutorial here

Not sure when the challenge ends? It is quite simple to figure out. Above my photo on the 1st post it says how many days or hours ago the post was made - if you hover over it with your mouse it will give you the exact time and date (this works on all the replies also). Then you would just add 48 hours smiley Here is a screenshot:

OHHH... This should be fun!

I chose grunge style to be my old challenge, for I had missed it. It was a blast to do but also had those moments when I wasn't sure if this thing was going to make it through or not!

Time to start scrolling through the list of threads!

I chose On the Edge:

Ooh...I'm squeezing in at the deadline on this! Here's mine. I went back to the old "Desk" challenge. I spent the morning working outside and it gave me a reason to scrap my photo. Unfortunately, flickr decided to go haywire and not let me access my photos, so all I had was this small version from my facebook...lol.

Here's mine! I did the Monogram Challenge.

Paper as Brush Challenge

I hope I did this right but I just picked a page and ran down the page and found the above challnege that looked very interesting. Maybe I went a bit ovrboard but I did this technique several times over. The main area was the stamp in the left. I also used the same clipping technique to blend several papers/overlays together to create the background paper. Used most items from the Autumn Art Blog Train.

I did another one (I hope that's ok)! This time I chose the old 'Happy' challenge...

OK- I'm going a little crazy with this challenge! I promise this will be my last one... I chose the old challenge of using two journal cards on your layout because last time I accidentally only used one. So here's mine this time around

HAHA Krissy, you can make as many layouts as you want for any challenge here at DigitalScrapbook.com - just never use 1 layout for more than 1 challenge and you are good.

Ok Thanks Kaleena! smiley I just didn't want to flood this thread!

Haha! Krissy, I know I'm thinking of doing more too! There's so many old challenges that I missed and I want to go back and do them all!

you can always do that even if there isn't a challenge to do so. I sometimes look at the old challenges when I want a new idea.

I used the Quote challenge from Leonard Nimoy I found the quote to be perfect for this layout

This is the 3rd layout that I made in honor of mothers day, for the one I used the "no prompts" challenge

Thanks Kaleena for letting me sneak mine in, even though I was a couple hours late! I had started this layout for the recent "Freebies" challenge and was thrilled to get a chance to complete it (and a quote I saw on someone else's layout during the "Beautiful" challenge was just perfect.

I didn't use a single freebie kit, but combined a whole bunch of Karry Dempsey's freebies to come up with this:

Awesome
