Printed Baby Announcement

I recently worked with one of my favorite print companies, MPix.com, to create a baby announcement for Magnus. They have printed photo books for me in the past, which I have found to be of great quality, and I found the cards to be of a similar high standard.

This photo is the first one I got of Magnus' smile and it worked perfectly as an image for the card since it had a good space for his name. MPix has some very lovely ready to go card templates for all occasions and there were a few that I was tempted by. But in the end the location of the white space in the photo meant it was easiest for me to just stick in the text I wanted using Photoshop.

For the back of the card I knew I wanted some blank space where I could write notes if I wanted, so I came up with this simple design.

Both sides of the card I made in Photoshop and then uploaded to MPix and had my card ready to go in about five minutes. I also chose these lovely kraft envelopes, which had a great, thick texture. The card itself was also nice and thick and printed out beautifully.
