My Favorite Things: 2015

I worked up a few bonus layouts for 2015 including some of my favorite things. Please share your own favorite things from 2015 so I can add them to my 2016 list!

Favorite Books

My reading goal for the year was 100 books, or 10 books a month, which doesn't add up to 100, but you know. That's how I roll. I wasn't exactly concerned with the actual number, but I knew I wanted to read more, and based on my reading count from previous years, 100 books seemed like it would be enough that I would have to try a little, but still have time to do other things. It worked and I have set the same goal for this year. I only have 526 books on my to-read list, so please suggest some more :) (See Goodreads for all sorts of books tracking fun.)

Favorite Games

Thanks to a switcheroo of furniture in our living room, we created a very cozy corner perfect for playing games. Apparently coziness is the main factor for me in playing games. If you too want to play more games, I suggest creating the perfect cozy corner. Kingdom Builder was easily my favorite game of the year. Splendor a close second. Love Letter is my favorite fast and fun game.

Favorite Movies

Despite having watched quite a lot of Anime, I had never seen My Neighbor Totoro. But then I watched it and now it's my favorite.

Favorite TV

If you haven't watched Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, you should go watch them right now.

My girlfriends and I had a favorite things party in lieu of a gift exchange. It was SO much fun!

I love playing games too. Last night I played Yahtzee, cards and Scrabble. Miss Fisher is filmed in my hometown of Melbourne, Australia - the costumes are just gorgeous. Thanks for your 2015 review, I really liked seeing some of your favourite things. :)

I need to start reading some more too. Have you ever heard of the Gilmore Girls reading challenge http://www.listchallenges.com/rory-gilmore-reading-challenge. I am thinking about reading the books mentioned in the show that I have not read before. It seems like a good list.

These look great, Marisa. I had to laugh when I looked at the games - I don't recognize even one of them! And here I thought I was fairly current; guess not, lol.

I love this idea, imagine seeing what sticks around over the years and what changes, how fun! When I saw a bunch of my favourite things on these pages I figured I'd take this as a review and add some others to my own list...

This is such a cool idea. I must start doing this myself.
