July 2023 Digital Scrapbooking Update

I thought I would take a quick minute to update you on my projects I said I work on this year. Read about my goals and ideas I set for 2023 here. Hopefully you enjoy seeing what I'm up to as writing this post is helpful for me to see what I'm doing and see if I want to make changes to my creative habits.

It may sound a little early, but I've been thinking about 2024 and if there's anything new to start. I'm thinking a little bit about forming some sort of "club" focused either on community support for keeping up a practice or perhaps learning something? If this inspires an idea from you and something you'd like to be a part of, please let me know in the comments below.

Memory Planner
Keeping up with my digital memory planner. I tend to fill out this planner at the end of the day, after things have already happened. I really love making the little daily spreads. It's nice to do some really low commitment scrapping, it can be as much or as little as I want, but it helps to keep me in the daily practice of scrapbooking.

Your planner layouts are lovely! And the club idea does sound intriguing. I'm definitely in a life stage where it's absolutely helpful to have some form of accountability to do even things for myself that I enjoy, like my local book club to make sure I read one thing a month that isn't related to homeschooling.

DigitalScrapbook.com has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!

I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!

If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.
