Playing a bit of catch up with my regular posts. I blame my new cutting machine for causing a lot of distraction from my regular routines. But we've made friends and I have a small idea of what I'm doing now, so I can get back to the regular schedule!

In other news, I think my photos are really looking amazing. I, like many people, take most of my photos on my phone. The convenience really can't be beat, especially when you do the post-process editing on the phone as well. I've tried various apps to various degrees of success, but I think I've finally found the secret. I recently switched to using Adobe CC, which is a monthly subscription program. The photography plan includes both Photoshop and Lightroom, and my new secret weapon, Lightroom Mobile. The app isn't hard to use, includes a lot of editing power and syncs with my desktop Lightroom. It's pretty fantastic. The mobile version includes a few presets, which are excellent and makes editing for me as simple as adjusting the exposure and then choosing a preset (I have two favorites, one for color, one for B&W, which makes it even easier). This is definitely the best my photos have ever looked, and it was done all on my phone with just a minute here and there.

January started with an epic train trip and then we spent the rest of the month enjoying the Oregon Coast, which is not a hard thing to do. This was the third year we wintered at the coast and really it doesn't get much better than this.
