7 Stunning Digital Scrapbooking Travel Layouts

I think it would be fair to say that I got into scrapbooking because of my travels, and I don't think that's a very unique experience. Lots of people come to digital scrapbooking because they want to make a memento of a special trip. Scrapbooking now is a way of life for me, and I tend to include my travels in with the rest of my every day photos when I'm scrapbooking. However, I know travel albums are still a core feature of digital scrapbooking and I wanted to share a few excellent examples of travel digital scrapbooking layouts.

Before I get started, I just wanted to mention a few other links that may help you out if you're looking for some more travel inspiration. I recently went through and redid a bunch of old travel layouts. This is a redo that I particularly love.

I love Olivia's vibrant take on this travel page. She has a lot of elements, but they don't overwhelm the photos.

I love all the extra pieces Shell includes in this layout, like the map and phone list.

Travel scrapbooking is often about how many photos you can get on one page without it looking like too much.
Michelle does a great job achieving that on this page.

Linda creates a beautiful double page spread with some large photos, a travel scrapbooking staple.

Felicity shares another great example of stylishly including a lot of photos in one page.

Don't forget the tried and true method of the photo background. Another great way to include a large photo, with a bit of creativity on top.

I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!

I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!

If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.
