Upsherin - right side

Description

According to (most) Jewish tradition, we don't cut any boy's hair until around their 3rd birthday. At that point, there is a whole ceremony/party called an Upsherin (or Vimple, for those of German descent, or upshernish for some other groups) where all close relatives take turns cutting some hair, and then we go to the cheder (yeshiva for 4-7 year olds) to begin learning the Aleph-Bais (Hebrew alphabet), which is the first step to studying Torah.

Anyway, this is part of the spread I created for out 2019 memories book for my son's Upsherin. I had to improvise because there's not a whole lot of scrapbooking kits aimed at religious Jews. I would have preferred brighter colors but my son chose.

Elements are, as per usual, from kits all over my stash, except for the Hebrew lettering sticker, which I created.
