About Me
I'm a freelance editor, writer and photographer. I picked up cardmaking as an art hobby more than 30 years ago. That led to scrapbooking, but really took off when digital scrapbooking software started popping up on the market. I stumbled onto PixelScrapper about 2014, which of course is now DigitalScrapbook, and right away began develping my design skills where I was able to do some small design jobs for hire, along with my regular editing and writing. I live in the beautiful state of Montana where I also teach water aerobics. Besides a passion for photography, I love sports, flyfishing, cardmaking, gardening, and walking. I peruse the net to learn new technique or enhance existing ones every month.

We fostered a hospice dog, a bluetick hound, over the holidays in response to a request from the Humane Society. My first walk with Penney, was, um...memorable. We kept her for the 2-1/2 weeks we committed to and then had to take her back. We don't have a fenced yard or a dog run; otherwise, we would have kept her until it was time for her to cross the rainbow bridge--she has inoperable thyroid cancer. She definitely left an indelible mark on our hearts. I used my kit, "The Guys," that I created for the January 2017 BT here at PS. I cannot take credit for the headline. It was the title of a chapter in a book my daughter read years ago in junior high or high school, and sadly, I cannot remember the name of the book or the author to give them credit. Whoever it is, I thank them, because it made the perfect headline for this page! This is for the January 2017 BT layout challenge.

Haha. Thanks Kaleena. My husband didn't want me sharing that story, but hey....it's life! Where's a video camera when you need one, eh? And Kabra, it was good to have a dog in the house after losing our beagle to cancer last May, so we felt good to help out a couple weeks.
What a special thing to do. . .
HAHAHA omg - my eyes are watering from the description you left, your layout and the journaling. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you scarp about everything, Julie! I really like all the arrows on your layout and the different fonts.
